StePac has developed Xtend® bin bags (2.5x2.5meter) characterized by high moisture vapor transmission rates (MVTR). These bags are designed to provide a desirable modified atmosphere (MA) during prolonged storage of 300-400 kg of pomegranates. The impressive results of recent trials using Xtend bin bags for pomegranates highlight the importance of both high MVTR and the presence of modified atmosphere during the storage period.
