| | How Xsense® works
|
| | | | The Xsense® Perishables Quality Monitoring Program gives users the peace of mind that comes from knowing the quality of their perishable products at all times as they travel through the cold supply chain.
Xsense® benefits all stakeholders in the cold chain logistics industry.
Here's how it works.
|
| |
| | | | IN THE WAREHOUSE Disposable Xsense® Sensor Units are placed in the carton/package with perishables and immediately begin monitoring temperature and humidity. We recommend one Xsense® Sensor Unit in each pallet.
|
| |
| | | | IN TRANSIT During land transport, Xsense® Sensor Units monitors vital data about the quality of the perishables. When pre-determined temperature and humidity thresholds are breached, Xsense® customers are immediately notified via SMS, email or cell phone alerts. GPS tracking of transport vehicle is also relayed.
|
| |
| | | | UPON ARRIVAL When Xsense® monitored products reach their destination, easy to read reports are available to help produce managers make informed accept/reject decisions based on actual produce quality. Compromised pallets can be diverted to cooling areas or sped on to final destination.
|
| |
| | | | SHELF LIFE MODELS Because Xsense® monitors perishable products from original packing point through to retail destination, FEFO (first expired, first out) management can be implemented. Pricing can be calculated based on remaining shelf life, supply chain waste is reduced and trouble spots within the supply chain identified.
